Privacy Policy

Rental Property Calculator (Chrome extension) · Effective October 21, 2026

This policy explains what the Rental Property Calculator extension ("the extension") does with your information. In short, the extension does not collect, sell or share any of your data. Everything happens inside your own browser.

What the extension reads

When you open a home listing on zillow.com, redfin.com or realtor.com, the extension reads the listing's price, rent estimate and HOA fee from the page. It uses these numbers only to calculate the results shown in its panel. This happens entirely on your device. The extension does not run on any other websites.

What the extension stores

The extension saves your calculator assumptions and any named sets of assumptions you create (for example interest rate, down payment, property tax and expense percentages) using Chrome's built-in storage. If you have Chrome sync turned on, Google syncs these settings between your own browsers as part of your Google account. The developer cannot see or access them.

If you click Save deal, the extension stores that listing's address, link and numbers on your device only (it is not synced). You can delete saved deals at any time from the dashboard. CSV and PDF exports are files created on your own device.

The extension does not store listings you have not saved, your browsing history, or any personal information.

What the extension does not do

• It does not send any data to the developer or to any other server.
• It does not use analytics, tracking, cookies or advertising.
• It does not collect your name, email, location or any other personal information.
• It does not sell or transfer data to anyone.

Permissions

• Storage: saves your calculator assumptions and saved deals, as described above.
• Access to zillow.com, redfin.com and realtor.com: reads listing numbers and shows the calculator panel on those pages.

Removing your data

Uninstalling the extension deletes its saved settings and saved deals from your browser.

Not financial advice

The calculator gives estimates based on the numbers you provide or that appear on the listing. It is not financial, investment or tax advice. Always verify figures before making a decision.

Not affiliated

This extension is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Zillow, Redfin or Realtor.com.

Changes to this policy

If the extension changes how it handles data (for example, by adding paid features), this page will be updated and the effective date above will change before the new version is released.
